Welcome to week 4 of the Whole House Organization (WHO) Challenge! We're winding down in the kitchen. Today we're organizing the fridge.
No, it's not the most glamorous thing to write about. But if the kitchen is the hub of a home, then the fridge is the heart of a kitchen. Without this baby, this room is practically useless. So it only makes sense that it should be organized too.
We're in the final stretch of the kitchen organization series for the 2017 WHO Challenge. I hope you're all having small victories along the way!
Today's task centers on a little slither of space that's like prime real estate for someone with a small kitchen: the space above the kitchen cabinets.
Some homeowners finish this area of the kitchen by boxing in the awkward space with plywood, and beefy crown molding that is stained, or painted to match the existing cabinets. Others install glass front custom cabinets. BOTH ideas are nothing short of stunning.
Welcome to week three of my 2017 Whole House Challenge. We're winding things down in the kitchen with just 3 areas left to tackle: under the sink, using the space above the cabinets, and the fridge.
Today's project is: the space underneath the sink
Home ownership comes with a never ending list of projects to be completed. There is always something that needs to be updated, repaired or replaced.
If you've been following my kitchen organization series, you may have noticed in the photos that we have not yet installed a back splash. It's been that way for years.
Most of us, myself included, would love to have a custom built kitchen. One complete with a deep corner drawer unit that eliminates the need for a lazy Susan. Or, a system that maximizes the dead space in a blind corner cabinet. Oh man, that would be awesome!
But alas, that is not to be our life. At least not for now.
Welcome to "my place". I'm Ola, a self-confessed décor addict and DIY think-tank. I love working with small spaces. Make yourself comfortable, and feel free to "shop" my ideas.
