Welcome to week 6 of the 2017 Whole House Organization (WHO) Challenge, where my aim is organize every room of my home in 14 weeks or less.
We put so much effort into choosing just the right artwork, furniture, and accent pieces for our homes. This makes it easy to forget the importance of organizing the unseen areas. In fact, the organization that happens (or that doesn't happen) in the spaces behind closed doors directly affects the function of rest of the home. So we're taking today's organization challenge to the bathroom- to organize it of course.

The bathroom is our launch pad- the place where we start our day. Unfortunately, because of all the stuff it needs to house, it can also be just as tricky to organize as the kitchen. So, we'll take this one slowly. As we we did with the kitchen portion of this organization for challenge, we'll start with the drawers.
Before getting started you'll want to have the following items ready:
Here's a breakdown of how I organize this space in order to get the look above.
The Process: Empty, Purge, Sort, Scrub, Analyze, Return
We ladies use so many things to get ourselves ready in the morning. All those little things can be a challenge to store. So you have to think outside the box for small storage solutions. For this project, once again I headed back to the office supply section where I located the cutest pencil cases.
Using my hot glue gun I simply attached a black elastic band along the inside and Voila! In less than five minutes, I had a homemade makeup kit. Perfect for my makeup brushes.
After purchasing a few plastic holders from the dollar tree, and an acrylic lipstick holder from The Container Store, I saw that I even had enough space left over for my curling and flat irons. Below is the result.
How do you like it? Since I remade this cabinet long before I started writing my ideas down, I don't have a before photo. But trust me when I say it was one hot mess!
One of the most common remarks made about organization challenges is that they move too fast. Hopefully I've given you more than enough time to complete the tasks. Please tell me in the comments below, how do you feel about the pace of this challenge?
