WHO Challenge: Week 10
Welcome to Week 10 of the Whole House Organization (WHO) Challenge, where my aim is to help us all organize our homes in 14 weeks or less. I have a special treat for you today! Fellow blogger and Mom, Kenyatta Harris of My Design Rules, is taking over my blog today to share practical tips on organizing kids' bedrooms.
This post has been sponsored by Voila Mattress. All opinions however, are strictly my own.
Hey small space dwellers! The response to the dorm room mood board and college checklist I shared last week was ah-mazing! If you missed it, click here to get the scoop.
It's funny, although a college dorm room is probably one of the smallest "living spaces" I can think of, it never occurred to me until recently to feature one. That got me thinking, what if I could show you a real life example of how one family helped their student create a dorm room that is totally "snatched"? I believe I've found the perfect example.
Perhaps it's because I don't have any children, but the college school season seems to always catch me of guard. Most times I don't even notice it until I go to my favorite home decor store only to find that the shelves have been wiped clean!
First confusion sets in..."Hmm, is the store closing?", then there's optimism "Maybe they just had a big sale or something?" Then suddenly it hits me: "Awww man, it's college season!"
Today starts Week 10 of the Whole House Organization (WHO) Challenge, where my aim is to organize my entire home in 14 weeks or less. But today we're taking a bit of a detour. Let me explain.
Having a space that is uniquely dedicated for guest stays is rare for small space dwellers. Most of our "guest" rooms are usually a combination of an office, sitting, workout, craft, dressing, or even a baby's room. I'll be sure to cover combination spaces in a later post.
However, recently I had the privilege of organizing a tiny "proper" guest room for a family home. Keep reading as I tell you all about it...
We're still in Week 7 of the Whole House Organization Challenge, where my aim is to organize every room of my home in 14 weeks or less.
The one thing that is ALWAYS an issue in a small space is finding a place to put everything. Recently we decluttered, deep cleaned and organized our linen closets, and bedroom surfaces and drawers. But there was one thing we never discussed: Where and how to store the bed linens? If you're struggling with this problem, keep reading
Welcome to Week 7 of the Whole House Organization Challenge, a personal mission to organize my home in 14 weeks or less! Hopefully you've been following this organizational adventure, and implementing new - easier ways of organizing things in your home. If so, give yourself a pat on the back, 'cause we're now at the halfway point! And guess where we're heading next? Here's a hint (in case you missed the title.)
You spend hours in it every day
But it isn’t a school classroom
It's the place where you lay your head to sleep
Which means that it is your... bedroom!
So grab the nearest trash can, and let's get started.
