If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, then you’re in the right place.  My name is Ola...Welcome to J'adore Le Décor.

J'adore le Décor is a bohemian chic interior lifestyle "idea boutique" written for people who desire to live more purposefully and stylishly in their home, but don't need 3,000 square feet of space to make that happen.  It is for those who believe that living small, chic and affordably are cool, yet don't want compromised quality over cost. 

My point of view is all about loving where you dwell - no matter how small it may be - by pouring elements of your life into it to make it warmer, more functional, more memorable for the guests who enter.  And most importantly, more reflective of the souls who build their lives there.  

A Brief History

Travels to Europe and other parts of the world, combined with foreign language studies, and nearly 10 years of volunteer work in a dominantly West African francophone community, have all left their mark on the woman I am today.   I am fluent in English, French and Spanish— in that order— and am a bit musically inclined.  Deeply grateful for these privileges and gifts, I chose the name J'adore le Décor as the perfect summary of all of these loves.

In August 2016 I started this blog as a means to channel my enjoyment of small space interiors, lux DIYs, and unique organization solutions.  Naturally, I also use it to express my fascination with art, language and culture.  Finally in 2017, when I began working with clients as a small space interior stylist in the Greater Chicagoland area, those projects also found a place here.

The J'adore le Décor Style

Though I have an appreciation for all design forms, contemporary bohemian chic is my go to style.  Small doses of bling.  Easy on the pattern mixing.  A sprinkle of whimsy, and a good blend of structured lines and curves is my sweet spot.  Yes, J'adore le Décor is where a woman's inner Beyoncé, Frida Kahlo, and Jackie O. can all hang out together and have a blast!  Ha!  A bit difficult to explain, certainly.  Yet, my home is the clearest reflection of the life I share with my husband.  If you fancy artsy cafés, rich global and cultural influences, or stores & designers like Anthropologie, Kate Spade, and Target along with a sprinkle of thrifted finds, you and I are gonna get along jus' fine.  

What more can I say except that I create spaces that make me want to touch everything inside of them.  And you can certainly learn to do the same in your home.
