The Brief: Create an intimate date-night escape for two, a welcoming space for family gatherings, and a dedicated workout area for the wife, an avid world cyclist. The inspiration? The unmistakable rhythm and nostalgia of '90s hip-hop, interpreted with sophistication, warmth, and a playful spirit. Never kitschy.

The Approach: Thoughtful space planning, atmospheric lighting, and bespoke details brought each experience to life. A custom channel-tufted banquette was tailored to its intimate corner, while a once-empty alcove became a striking bar, complete with illuminated floating shelves and an artful mosaic of jewel-toned marbles against honed Bianco Dolomiti and Nero marble. A wall-mounted sound station showcases their favorite albums alongside a vertical record player, while a floor-to-ceiling porcelain-tiled fireplace with sculptural fluting takes center stage. Each space has its own personality, yet moves to a common rhythm. Every angle, a little chef-d'œuvre.

The Result: A soulful, spirited retreat where nostalgia meets modern luxury, fitness finds its rhythm, and every gathering feels like an occasion. From lively family celebrations to intimate evenings for two, this basement moves effortlessly to the beat of their lives. The best seat in the house is now downstairs.
